Dear Daughters of The World,
You are beautiful, you are smart, you matter!
You are beautiful
Yes you are. Please try not to feel insecure when you see other girls. They are beautiful but so are you. Try not to compare yourselves. She may have longer hair than you, she may be taller than you but do you know what makes you beautiful? The fact that you are you and there’s no one else on this planet like you. You are unique and amazing the way you are.
You are smart
Yes you are. School getting a bit hard? Seek extra help. That’s doesn’t make you look bad. It makes you smart. You can be smart in so many different ways aside from academically. You can be smart in the way you respond to other people’s emotions. You can be smart in the way you connect with people. You can be smart academically. There are so many ways you are intelligent. You’re amazing. Don’t let anyone tell you different
Yes you do. Your feelings matter. Don’t let anyone dismiss your feelings. They matter. Everything about you matters. Your mental health matters. If you’re struggling in any way then seek help. From a parent, a friend, a school teacher… People love you and care for you. Your happiness matters. Do things that make you happy. Be around people who make you happy. Try to block out all negativity.
To my own daughter. You are beautiful and amazing. You make me smile everyday. I hope one day you’ll read this and you’ll be inspired. I’m grateful for your life.
