Pop N’ Sit Booster Review

First Impressions

I have been looking for a solution to the “having nowhere for my baby girl to sit when eating when out and about” problem, so I was so excited to be reviewing the Pop N’ Sit Booster by Summer Infant. Most (but not all!) restaurants have highchairs available that my daughter is now old enough to sit in, but when we go out to visit friends and family they don’t have a highchair on hand. You can imagine the struggle, trying to enjoy my lunch while my baby girl is sitting on my lap reaching for my food instead of eating hers. It’s not ideal. The Pop N’ Sit Booster is a portable seat that attaches to a normal chair. It comes with 4 straps, two that clip together underneath the chair, and two that clip round the back to secure it.  It could also be placed on the floor; I can imagine when we go for picnics it will be perfect. Or even just as a little seat for baby to sit on.

The booster seat is a cute pop out style seat, in a lovely vibrant pink colour, with a white detachable tray which comes on and off. It took me a while to attach the booster seat to a chair, (probably because of my poor ability to follow instructions!) but once I realised how to attach the clips to the seat it was done in a matter of seconds. The booster seat also comes with a carry case that the chair can easily fit into, and makes it super easy and light to travel with. I love the design or the carry case, it is sleek and practical, with an over the shoulder strap and front pocket.

Would I recommend

The Booster seat is suitable for the ages 6 months- 3 years and I would recommend it as a way to make mealtimes easier. It is currently available from the Summer Infant website at a discounted price of £24.99. I would say, however, the booster seat didn’t feel like it was completely safe for me to eat without keeping one eye on her. There are 3 straps so I knew that she was secured into the seat. However, the sides of the booster seat are quite low so I’m not sure how safe it would be if she was actively moving around. I would recommend staying with baby while they are in the seat. For £24.99 though, it is a quick and affordable solution. It definitely did make a difference to the meal that I had when visiting family, it meant both me and my daughter could be present and join in with the social activities during lunch.
